Violation of any one of these rules will typically result in a verbal warning, before either a mute or a formal warning is issued (depending on the severity and judgement of the staff member).
Violation of rule 2 will be grounds for an immediate and permanent ban from The Titan Protectorate.
Accumulating 3 warnings within 3 months will result in a ban. Bans can be appealed 6 months after the day they go into effect.
Staff reserve the right to take appropriate action for behavior or actions deemed unacceptable for the server and community, even if such behavior is not explicitly against the server rules as written.
There is no statute of limitations on rule enforcement. If a staff member does not immediately catch someone breaking a rule, they will still be held accountable once staff become aware of the violation, regardless of the elapsed time.
Staff are under no obligation to keep your warnings private.
We ask that any violation of the below rules witnessed by a member or leadership be brought to the attention of at least 2 officers who are @Commander or higher in a DM group.
Rules
1. Don't Be Rude
All Titan Protectorate members are required to treat members and guests of the organization with respect. TTPro takes a hard stance against harassment, bullying, hate speech, excessive toxicity, witch hunts, doxing, or intentionally making others uncomfortable. Friendly trash talk and jokes that do not violate other rules are fine. Rules regarding basic respect apply to text, voice communications, streamed content, discord names, profiles and bio descriptions.
While most TTP members are adults who we expect to not be bothered by measured amounts of profanity or jokes that do not violate any TTP rules, we also want to recognize that TTP members may want to play Star Citizen with their younger family members. When participating in an Operation, please respect a TTP member's request to tone down language if their family members are present.
2. No Hate Speech or Discrimination
The Titan Protectorate has ZERO tolerance for racism, sexism, homophobia, transphobia, targeted discrimination or bigotry towards any groups or individuals. Overt violations of this rule (like spouting racial slurs at someone) will result in an immediate ban from the org. The Titan Council will review the incident and verify the ban.
Unintentional violations of this rule will result in a one-time consultation with members of the Titan Council as we believe room should exist for hearing out misunderstandings. If the org rules have been violated and the person is willing to address their behavior, they will be given one chance to do so. Any further infractions will result in an immediate, permanent ban from the organization.
3. No Politics, Religion or Political Debates
This server is not the place for political arguments, campaigning, culture war debates, or trying to “educate” others on one's religion or worldview. Jokes and comments that mock political affiliations or religious/non-religious beliefs are divisive and should be avoided.
4. Keep Drama Outside
Personal arguments, callout posts, and public meltdowns do not belong in the TTP discord and should be handled privately or mediated by TTP leadership ( @Commander and up ) if needed.
5. No Spam/Scams
Flooding chat channels with repeated messages, EXCESSIVE CAPS, soundboards, engaging in ping spam, or posting large blocks of nonsense text that disrupt conversations are prohibited. Intentionally posting phishing links, malicious files, fake giveaways or social engineering members for their credentials or other information is a bannable offense.
6. Strive to Use Appropriate Channels
Conversations should take place in their intended channels so members can engage in the topics that interest them without excessive distraction. Off-topic banter happens naturally, and is not an issue as long as it does not silence/disrupt members who want to stay on topic. Requests to return to the channel topic should be honored and the off-topic conversation can relocate to its appropriate channel.
Members who consistently or purposefully derail discussions may be timed out if they cannot respect requests to return to the channel topic.
7. No NSFW Content
Explicit or illegal content, gore, or other material that would be wildly inappropriate in a workplace is not permitted.
8. Respect Voice Chats
Communication during official Operations should be expected to be somewhat stricter than a pickup group's voice chat. The degree of strictness is at the discretion of the operation leader.
Disrupting voice chats with screaming into the mic, intentionally talking over people nonstop, blasting music or not muting a hot microphone after others have asked that it be silenced may result in a server mute or removal from the voice channel. TTP staff may also opt to temporarily revoke voice channel permissions if warnings are not heeded. Severe voice channel disruptions, like broadcasting NSFW audio or streaming NSFW content, will result in being banned from the server.
9. Listen to Staff
The goal of Admins, Council Members, Moderators and Officers is to ensure the organization runs smoothly and members are able to have fun. When staff asks for a behavior to stop, members are expected to comply, even if the request seems unwarranted. Officers and moderators may have additional information or reasons behind their request that may not be apparent at the time. Concerns of moderation overreach can be raised to your Division's leadership or any Council Member.
10. Keep It Fun
The goal of The Titan Protectorate is to create an atmosphere of comradery, fun and mutual respect where all members can enjoy Star Citizen gameplay among a community, relatively free from the divisions and distractions of the outside world.
